In his Eminence Metropolitan Serapion’s profound wisdom and unwavering love, he envisioned a haven where girls and women could retreat, find tranquility, engage in prayer, and seek guidance, all with the purpose of deepening their connection with Christ.
In February 2022, our diocese welcomed four nuns from the Convent of St. George in Old Cairo. Later that year, the convent started receiving overnight retreatants and groups from all over.
With God’s grace, St. Katherine of Alexandria & St. Verena Coptic Orthodox Convent has become a safe haven for women of all ages.
