Mahragan 2012 Results (Updated for Both Centers)

On Saturday, August 25, 2012, the Diocese community gathered at St. Mark Church and St. Mary and St. Athanasius Church around our beloved father, Bishop Serapion, for the 2012 Mahragan Al Keraza Competition.

This year, for the first time, the competition was divided between two churches because of the sheer number of teams participating.  Over 140 teams from almost 30 parishes participated in this wonderful event after preparing for months. Approximately 60 teams gathered at St. Mark whereas St. Mary and St. Athanasius accommodated over 80 teams.

The day began with the celebration of the Divine Liturgy by His Grace Bishop Serapion and several diocesan priests, including Fr. Raphael Hanna, Fr. Boules Baky, Fr. Moses Samaan, and Fr. Cyril Georgy. After the Divine Liturgy, participants enjoyed a quick brunch before their testing, which lasted from 11:30a-12:30p.

At the end of the testing, the results were tabulated and announced as follows:
