On Saturday, October 2, 2010, the servants of the Diocese participated in the Second Annual Diocese Servants’ Meeting under the auspices of our beloved bishop, His Grace Bishop Serapion, and our honored guest speaker, His Grace Bishop Thomas of El Quosia.
The day commenced with the celebration of the Divine Liturgy with Their Graces and several diocese clergy. After brunch, the servants were blessed to hear a spiritual word from Bishop Thomas on the importance of conforming the present reality in our lives to our eternal mission in this life. His Grace stressed the necessity of having a vision in one’s life and allowing that vision to influence every present action. After the beneficial word from Bishop Thomas, both he and Bishop Serapion received and answered many questions from the servants in attendance. At the conclusion of the program, the clergy and servants received a complimentary copy of the Feast of the Cross book published by St. Paul Brotherhood.
The entire event was broadcast live to televisions, computers, and other devices (such as iPhones, iPads, etc.) by LogosTV.
We thank God for the blessing of this gathering in the presence of our beloved hierarchs. May the Lord keep them for us and bless the service of all who labor in the Church for the glory of His Name.
