“So it was, as soon as the days of his service were completed, that he departed to his own house” (Lk 1:23).
His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion, along with Their Graces, Bishop Suriel, Bishop Abraham, and Bishop Kyrillos, as well as the clergy and congregation of the Diocese of Los Angeles, the beloved of Christ, bid farewell, with hope in the Resurrection, to the beloved father and faithful servant, the Very Reverend Hegumen Father John Mikhail, shepherd of the church of Saint Justina in the city of Rancho Cucamonga, California.
His pure soul returned to its heavenly home after the Divine Liturgy on Sunday, June 19, 2022, to join the heavenly and choir of saints. We ask God to repose his pure soul in the Paradise of Joy, remembering his faithful and sacrificial ministry, especially his 23 years of priesthood.
We are confident that our good and merciful Lord will grant him the wages of the good and faithful servant.
“Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord” (Mt 25:21).
We pray that God pours down HIs heavenly comfort upon the hearts of Father John’s wife, Dalya Mikhail, and his sons, Jonathan, Joseph, and George Mikhail, as well as the rest of the family members and all his beloved.
