On Sunday August 28, 2022, Father Augustine Ibrahim was ordained as a priest in the Diocese of Los Angeles by His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion, along with Their Graces, Bishop Suriel, Bishop Abraham, and Bishop Kyrillos at St. Monica Coptic Orthodox Church in Costa Mesa.
The Divine Liturgy commenced with the ordination of the new priest after the Prayer of Reconciliation.
The congregation joyfully proclaimed Deacon Andrew worthy of the grace and rank of the priesthood before His Eminence and their graces laid their hands on him.
Following the ordination, the new priest proceeded to St. Paul Brotherhood in Murrieta to spend the 40 days. He will return to start his ministry at St. Monica Coptic Orthodox Church in Costa Mesa.
Apart from our father His Eminence and their graces, all or part of this blessed event was Hegumen Fr. Mauritius St. Bishoy, Hegumen Fr. Anthony Attallah, and Presbyters Fr. Paul Baky, Fr.Michael Fanous, and Fr. Andrew Iskander.
