On the 22nd of the blessed month of Epep, Saturday July 29, 2023, His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion accompanied by His Grace Bishop Abraham laid hands on and ordained the blessed servant Mr. Safwat El Masry, as Deacon Barnaba El Masry for the Christ loving Diocese of Los Angeles to serve in the Diocese Diakonia Department under His Grace Bishop Abraham.
The ordination took place at St. Paul Coptic Orthodox Abbey in Murrieta, California.
Apart from our father His Eminence and His Grace all or part of this blessed event were Presbyters Fr. Timothy Paul St. Antony, Fr. Sarapamon St. Antony, Fr. John Paul St. Antony, Fr. David Elias, Fr. Abraam St. Antony, and Brother Pavlous Paul.
