Several Diocesan Parishes to be Consecrated

Glory to God! The Diocese joyfully announces the upcoming consecrations of Holy Altars in several diocesan churches by our beloved fathers, His Grace Bishop Serapion and His Eminence Metropolitan Hedra of Aswan.

The consecrations will be according to the following schedule:

Sunday, February 3

Consecration of the Holy Altar at St. Justina Coptic Orthodox Church

Sunday, February 10

Consecration of the Holy Altar at St. Mina Coptic Orthodox Church

22700 Saint Minas Ct.
Colton, CA

Sunday, February 17

Consecration of the Holy Altar at St. Demiana Coptic Orthodox Church (Bakersfield)

9200 White Ln.
Bakersfield CA

All consecrations will be completed in the context of the Divine Liturgy, which begins at 8:00 a.m.

In addition to these consecrations, His Grace Bishop Serapion, the newly appointed abbot of St. Antony Monastery in Yermo, California, celebrated the Feast of St. Antony and consecrated a Holy Altar there on Wednesday, January 30.

We pray that the Lord may continue to bless and increase the service in this Christ-loving diocese and grant all her children the fruit and blessings of the Holy Spirit.
