Diocese Releases Additional Titles for Kindle, iPhone, iPad

Christ is risen! With God’s grace, the Diocese has developed and released three additional electronic book “eBook” titles compatible with the Amazon Kindle and iPad platforms. Amazon Kindle and iPad are new devices that allow users to read books electronically in an interactive way.

The new titles, previously published in printed form by the Diocese, are:

1. Heaven: An Orthodox Christian Perspective by the Late Bishop Youannis of Blessed Memory

2. Homily on the Soul and Body by Pope Alexander I of Alexandria

3. The Agpeya (Coptic Book of Hours) [updated for iPad and color devices]

In addition to these titles, the following books are also available for download:

4. On the Lord’s Prayer by St. Cyril of Alexandria

5. On the Manifestation of God in the Birth of Christ (Oration 38) by St. Gregory the Theologian

All of the books may be purchased from Amazon at their respective links. To view any title on the iPad, download the free Amazon Kindle for iPad application. For the iPhone/iPod Touch, users may download the Amazon Kindle for iPhone application. Users may also read the books on their computer using Amazon Kindle for PC and Amazon Kindle for Mac.

We pray these new titles will help our congregations who are using the new media discover the ancient spirituality of the Orthodox Church.
