Saint Marina Coptic Orthodox Church was founded in 1997 to serve the southern region of Orange County. Under the care of His Grace Bishop Serapion, it was initially shepherded by Hegumen Father Tadros Malaty for a few months prior to the ordination of Father Bishoy Kamel. After serving in Saint Demiana Coptic Orthodox Church in San Diego, Father Kyrillos Ibrahim started his service in this parish around February 2009.
In April 1997, the parish purchased a small building, but as the congregation grew, a larger commercial building was purchased and converted into a church facility.
In addition to its liturgical services and youth ministry, the parish is very involved in community activities for the children with special needs and the indigent.
