On Thursday, June 20, 2013, during the Clergy Synod Meeting, His Grace Bishop Serapion announced the decision of His Holiness Pope Tawadrous II to incorporate the city of Fresno with its Coptic community into the Diocese of Los Angeles, Southern California and Hawaii.
This addition essentially means the addition of a new parish to the northern region of the Diocese, Archangel Michael and Archangel Gabriel Church, and a new priest, Fr. Mena Fam.
We welcome Fr. Mena and the entire Fresno community to the Diocese under the leadership and guidance of our beloved father, Bishop Serapion.
