Nabil Latif Henein (Fr. Antonious Henein) was born in Egypt on March 1st, 1944. Ordination of Fr. Michael Ibrahim

On Thursday, February, 26, 2004 at the chapel of the Papal Residence in Cairo, Egypt, H.H. Pope Shenouda IIIl ordained the blessed deacon Michael Abrahim Abeid as a priest to serve in the Diocese of Los Angeles The new priest was given the name Fr. Michael. H.G.Bishop Serapion along with H.G. Bishop Youannis participated in this blessed ordination. Following the ordination the new priest will spend the forty days at St. Pishoy Monastery,Wadi el Natroun,Egypt.

Fr. Mina Wahba Youssef Ordained Hegumen

On Sunday, January 21, 2007, His Grace Bishop Serapion ordained Fr. Mina Wahba Youssef, of Saint Demiana Church in San Diego, to the priestly rank of Hegumen at Saint Demiana Church in San Diego. Also on the same day, the blessed servant Raouf Ibrahim was ordained to Archdeacon and was given the new name of “Kyrillos”. Archdeacon Kyrillos will be ordained as priest for St. Demiana Church in San Diego on Sunday, February 11, 2007.

2007 Youth Spiritual Competition Results

Over 500 students, ranging from junior high to college age, competed at this year’s diocese-wide Youth Spiritual Competition, held August 25 at Saint George Coptic Orthodox Church.
